At our Family Support Discussion Meetings we share our Experiences.
You will most likely attend your first visit with high levels of anxiety.

You will find that the events you are dealing with bear a remarkable resemblance to the dilemmas we are all facing The consequential ramifications of mental illness can be tumultuous for those of us close to the sufferer.

You will appreciate hearing how others have coped, or are coping with these similar perplexing quandaries

Featuring Local Guest Speakers

At our Family Education Meetings we invite local guest speakers to address us on their specific areas of expertise usually within the field of Mental Health.
These topics range over Diagnosis, Treatment, Follow Up Care, The Baker Act and the Legal Process.
Time permitting following the presentation the subject is open for discussion.

Currently, NAMI Manatee County is not offering a Peer to Peer class but, we are
pleased to direct you to NAMI Sarasota where Wade Crawford (941 376 9361)
is actively running courses for those in recovery.
